Nick & Shannon Winkey

We are Nick and Shannon Winkey and we decided there has to be a better way, so we began our own journey into the concept of a healthy, fun and specifically sourced health food, supplement and fitness tech gadget store. 

First, we researched all the best-of-brand products we knew were important to include in our daily diet and lifestyle choices. Then, we sourced the latest technology gadgets for helping us with valuable feedback while adding more fun and excitement to our fitness activities and goals.

With many years of business experience and being research savvy we did a deep dive into all the information available dealing with our common ailments and those of friends and family, many of who were dealing with joint pain, gut problems, brain fog and a host of other common age related (and nutrition related) health concerns.

Again, we believe there has to be a better way to age gracefully than

throwing in the white flag of surrender and accept the common "wisdom" of listening to the pharmaceutical companies advertised product claims and living with a plethora of drug prescriptions from our well meaning but ill informed doctors, many who are beholden to big pharma's grip and the idea that writing a "script" will solve all of our problems. 

Especially since we both have parents who died prematurely from cancer, likely due to poor nutrition and lifestyle choices along with this false belief that drugs will keep us healthy.

As Nick's father Terry would often say with humor, "I was determined to start a diet with better food choices until that first hunger pang hit and then I just gave in to the ravenous hunger beast in my belly." And there it was, the motivation to name our new company - Feed The Beast!

But we're always quick to define the name, it's Feed The Beast by taming the belly beast with good, wholesome food choices that also taste delicious and suppress the desire to reach for unhealthy foods. Because as Shannon says, "We all know how hard it is to make healthy choices if it isn't convenient and delicious."  

So here we go - after thousands of hours of research and planning and a passion to build something better - we've created a fun shopping experience with easy to decide healthy choices based on the best products available, sourced throughout the world.
